|4th Annual Women's March on East Side of Lift Bridge.
Women will be marching in DC and around the country and the world.
Gather at Bridgeview Park at 1pm on Saturday 18 Jan for the Fourth Annual Women's March. We will march up to the east side of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. Marchers are invited to bring signs.

|Annual Planning Meeting.
Planning Meeting. Our January Planning Meeting will be a dinner meeting, to be held Tuesday, January 21st at 5pm at the Kangas Cafe in the Jutila Center (the old Hospital) in room 311, Hancock.
In preparation for our local Annual Meeting in April, any ideas for local programs or speakers should be brought up at this time.
Please RSVP by Friday, January 15th to Mary Marchaterre, firstname.lastname@example.org or 483-2291 with your menu entree choice of: Chicken Piccata or Veggie Lasagna. The cost is $15.00 for the meal, which includes: Salad, Roll, Dressings, Dessert, and Beverages: Coffee, Tea, Lemonade, and Gratuity. Unfortunately, "No shows" will still be expected to pay for their dinner and will be billed by the LWVCC, as we will be committed to covering the number we have reserved.

|Parking lot east of La Cantina||Heikinpaiva Parade with LWVCC and riseUP.
Please join more than a dozen riseUP volunteers, including LWVCC Board members Linda Belote and Faith Morrison, in celebration of women's suffrage on January 25th.
We need folks to carry the riseUP banner and/or some of the great signs Lora Repp has created for us in the Heikinpäivä parade on January 25th.
The parade will take place on Quincy Street in Hancock. Assembly is in the parking lot east of La Cantina at 10:30a.m. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and ends at Quincy Green with other delightful Finnish traditions celebrating the day the bear rolls over + halfway date through winter + will be happening.
